As a Candidate Board Director, I would look to represent the RACMA Candidate body particularly on the issues of diversity, equity and inclusion and with a focus on RACMA providing quality education and training. In the last year with another Candidate, I have advocated for change with the Flexible Training Policy in line with other colleges and AMC standards. Being a new parent myself, I want to ensure no Candidate is discouraged or disadvantaged in taking parental leave or working part time. As a dual trainee (with FRACP), I would also like to see that the direction of the College is progressive and inclusive of all trainees and broader Members. I’d also like to see an increased focus on the value proposition of the FRACMA qualification and for the College to reach its full potential within the greater medical community as innovative medical leaders.
