Job Description We are pleased to be seeking a Director of Medical Services, to lead the continued growth and development of Buderim Private’s medical services to the Sunshine Coast community.

Your Role:

A dynamic role, you will combine your medical and management expertise, ensuring the effective delivery of strategic and operational objectives through the services of employed and visiting medical officers.

As a leader, you will drive and influence clinical auditing and quality practices within Buderim Private, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and compliance in all activities, including external accreditation and credentialing practices.

A key member of the executive team, you will represent the hospital on all relevant medical committees, medical marketing initiatives and relevant ventures. With a broad network, you will actively recruit exceptional VMP talent in line with the hospitals strategic direction, navigating complex relationships and agreements to deliver the utmost standard of medical services in the region.

As a part time opportunity, this role is currently requiring availability for 2 days p/week. 

Your Background:

As an experienced medical professional, you will bring a comprehensive knowledge of the Australian Health Care System and contemporary healthcare practice and trends. Having held previous leadership roles within an acute hospital setting, you are confident in driving change and continuous improvement within a highly compliant environment.

With seasoned communication skills you are an effective people leader, with the ability to negotiate, counsel and support individuals from highly-diverse backgrounds. Combined with your people skills, your management knowledge enables you to drive strategic growth through multiple forums including marketing, networking and recruitment.

You demonstrate an alignment to our values, through your commitment to delivering best-practice, person-centred care, and hold:

  • Current registration as a Medical Practitioner.

  • A complete FRACMA or in-training for FRACMA; and additional post-graduate qualifications in Management, Business or Health Administration will also be viewed favourably;

  • Experience in Clinical Governance, with focus on clinical outcome excellence, safety and quality of healthcare for patients and clinical outcome reporting;

  • Familiarity with financial, material and Human Resource management;
