Job Description About the College

The Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA) is a specialist medical college with the objective of influencing health systems management and educating medical practitioners in the specialty of medical administration. The College has Candidates, Trainees and Fellows throughout Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and other overseas posts.

The College's National Office is located at Suite 10, 1 Milton Parade, Malvern, Victoria, 3144.

About the Role

The role reports to the Manager, Training Operations and is responsible for administering the College's training post accreditation. The position involves working with a range of stakeholders - Fellows, hospital and health service senior management, College trainees and Committees and has a key role to quality assure training posts in the RACMA Fellowship Training Program.

The position works closely with the National Education and Training Manager, Faculty, members of the Accreditation Review Panel and Accreditation Site Visit Panels. 

The nature, diversity and scope of the role responsibilities require excellent communication  attention to detail and administrative skills. You must possess a good level of maturity, understanding of adult education and/or training environment, be self-motivated, self-directed, energetic and with a professional approach when dealing with both internal and external stakeholders of the College.

About You

·         University qualifications in education and training or equivalent
·         Understanding and/or experience of accreditation of training, policies and processes in relation to education/ training programs
·         Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a high level ability to interpret and make sound judgments on complex training matters
·         Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and the ability to work and communicate effectively with a wide range of professionals, and
·         Computer literate with skills in database, word processing, email, spreadsheets, ideally in the Microsoft Office environment
·         High capacity for multi-tasking and prioritisation.

This is a permanent position that will commence at 0.8FTE (30.4 hours per week) with a view to increase to a 1.0FTE (38 hours per week) full time position.
