Located in Box Hill, Epworth Eastern is a state-of-the-art facility and includes an 8 bed ICU, 10 bed HDU/CCU and 10 theatres.

Epworth Eastern maintains a broad clinical focus from cardiac, vascular, orthopaedic and general surgery to oncology, urology and endoscopy services. From consultation and detection through to surgery, Epworth Eastern aims to work with patients and their families to ensure they have the best experience possible.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a passionate medical leader to join and contribute to the success of a leading not for profit, private hospital, with a commitment to the enhancement of clinical practice and development of services supported by teaching and research.

Working closely with the Executive Director, you will provide strong medical leadership and expertise to ensure excellence in care delivery.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work autonomously, possess excellent conceptual and organisational skills and utilise objective analysis of multiple viewpoints to incorporate input from all stakeholders.

The successful candidate will possess:
• A personal commitment to professional development, teaching and research
• A consultative leadership style and highly developed communication skills
• Proven experience in medical administration in a health service
• Initiative with a motivational approach
• Extensive experience and knowledge of medical and clinical service delivery in Australian Healthcare
• The ability to inspire staff, VMOs and doctors in training to superior levels of performance
• Understanding of contemporary clinical practice in a broad range of specialities
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications
