RACMA Faculty Development Program 2015

Continuing the success of the Faculty Development Program from 2014, RACMA aims at developing high quality training activities for the RACMA Faculty via a series of teleconferences and workshops at the jurisdictional levels. The objectives of these are:
  • Build expertise to support training activities including assessment methods, evaluation and feedback
  • Enhance engagement from Supervisors, Preceptors, Censors, Jurisdictional Coordinators of Training (JCTs), including non-FRACMA Supervisors, and provide them with the information and training needed for effective performance in their roles
  • Develop knowledge of the Medical Leadership and Management Curriculum Competency Framework and Candidates’ training requirements amongst Faculty
The Faculty Education Program will include:
  • Monthly teleconferences with Supervisors and Preceptors; JCTs and Executive Coaches addressing areas of training needs for the new supervisors and preceptor training; roles and responsibilities, and training on the assessment methods, obligations, RACMA Curriculum, and Fellowship Training Program and Pathways; Feedback and ATP development; Research Training; training mapped to Curriculum; recruitment for new Censors and Preceptors.
  • Introduction of an eModule for Faculty, Supervisors, Preceptors and JCTs, including non-FRACMA Supervisors, to enhance understanding of the Candidacy training in the Fellowship Training Program.
  • In addition to participating in the series of teleconferences, Supervisors are invited to utilize the following manual as an ongoing resource.

The teleconferences are scheduled for 12.30pm - 1.30pm (Melbourne time). An email with login details will be sent approximately one week before each teleconference to College Faculty members.
