The College is governed by a Board of Directors and meets monthly.
The Board has an Executive, which is authorised to attend to matters requiring attention or action between Board meetings, and several standing committees.

Dr Lee Gruner - President

Dr Lee Gruner is the Director of Quality Directions Australia Pty Ltd. Dr Gruner joined the Board (Council) in 2003. In 2005 she was appointed as Censor in Chief.
Dr Michael Walsh - Vice President
BHA MPA(HARVARD) MBBS FRACMA FCHSE
Dr Walsh is Chief Executive of Cabrini Health.
Professor Gavin Frost - Chair, Education & Training
MB BS MPH (Syd) FRACMA FAFPHM FHKCCM(Hon)
Professor Frost is currently Dean, School of Medicine Fremantle, University of Notre Dame Australia. Prior to his appointment as Dean he was Domain Head in Population and Public Health in the new Notre Dame University School of Medicine Sydney. Before this he was the inaugural Chief Medical Officer with MBF Australia, the nation’s largest private health insurance company for 7 years.

Dr Andrew Johnson - Fellow
MBBS UNSW 1989, MHA UNSW 1995, FRACMA 1996
Dr Johnson is Executive Director Medical Services Townsville Health Services District, he has held this role since 2000 and Eminent Staff specialist from 2006.Career history includes the RAAF, NSW Public Hospital management, private sector in Cairns, Qld Health. His main area of interests include Patient Safety, Medical Workforce, Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Management, Medical Education and Health Technology Assessment.
A.Prof Eugenia Pedagogos - Associate Fellow
MBBS FRACP AFRACMAProf Pedagogos is a General physician and Nephrologist at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Apart from her role as Physician in Charge of Satellite and In-Centre Hemodialysis for North West Dialysis Services, she is an accredited physician at Epworth Healthcare, Mercy Private and St Vincent’s Private and General Physician at the Peter MacCallum Hospital. Her clinical role involves the care of inpatients and outpatients as well as supervision of junior medical staff and advanced trainees in General Medicine and Nephrology.
Dr Sally Tideman - Fellow
BA BMBS FRACGP MPH FRACMA

Dr Sally Tideman is the South Australian State Medical Director, DonateLife SA. This is a joint State/Commonwealth role responsible for implementation of the National Organ and Tissue Donation Reform Package in South Australia. Prior to her current role, Dr Tideman held the position of Director of Medical Services at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide and Medical Administrator, Department of Health South Australia.
Dr Kevin Morris - Fellow
MBCH.B FRACMA
Dr Kevin Morris is a Medical Adviser to the Medical Council of New Zealand and Managing Director of Morris Consulting Limited. Prior to his current roles he had 20 years working for New Zealand's Accident Compensation Corporation as Corporate Medical Adviser and Director of Clinical Services.

Professor Jeffrey Braithwaite - External Prof Braithwaite is a leading health services and systems researcher with an international reputation for his work investigating and contributing to systems improvement. He has particular expertise in the culture and structure of acute settings, leadership, management and change in health sector organisations, quality and safety in healthcare, accreditation and surveying processes in international context and the restructuring of health services. He is well known for bringing management and leadership concepts and evidence into the clinical arena and he has published extensively (more than 300 refereed contributions, and 500 total publications) about organisational, social and team approaches to care which has raised the importance of these in Australia and internationally.
