The College is governed by a Board of Directors and meets monthly.
The Board has an Executive, which is authorised to attend to matters requiring attention or action between Board meetings, and several standing committees.

Professor Michael Cleary PSM - President FRACMA, MHA, FACEM, AFACHSE, MBBS Prof Cleary is a respected and experienced leader, strategic planner and specialist at identifying and capturing business opportunities, leading transformational change and delivering improved performance. He has a strong focus on corporate governance and stewardship of organisations. He has an extensive background at senior level within health including his involvement on the boards of ACEM and ACHS. He represented Queensland on AHMAC and the Hospitals’ Principal Committee. He has held the role of Deputy Director-General and Chief Operations Officer within the Queensland Department of Health. He is currently the Executive Director Medical Services at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Dr Michael Walsh - Vice President BHA MPA(HARVARD) MBBS FRACMA FCHSE Dr Walsh is Chief Executive of Cabrini Health.
A/Professor Pooshan Navathe - Chair, Education & Training MBBS, B Ed, MD, FAFOEM (RACP), FRACMA, FACAsM, MBA, PhD A/Professor Pooshan Navathe is a practising occupational physician and an internationally acknowledged thought leader in aviation medicine. After occupying the medical leadership position at the Civil Aviation Safety Authority, he has recently moved to become the Director Medical Services at Maitland NSW. A/Prof Navathe has a large number of publications, and continues to be active in his research into risk and uncertainty in medical decision making. A/Prof Navathe has been involved in medical education for over two decades, and continues to teach and mentor doctors in their various specialist pathways.
Dr Humsha Naidoo - Chair, Finance & Audit MBChB MHSM (Monash) FRACMA Juris DoctorDr Naidoo has extensive experience in strategic health service management after fourteen years in senior management roles in large teaching tertiary hospitals in Victoria and Queensland. She has particular interest in clinical governance, education, research and medical workforce planning. She obtained her medical degree in South Africa and completed the FRACMA in 2004. She was awarded the Bernard Nicholson Prize for the most outstanding candidate in the oral examination for the FRACMA. She completed the Master of Laws (Juris Doctor) program with distinction in December 2013.
Professor Barbara Workman - Associate Fellow AFRACMA, MD, FRACP, MBBSProf Workman graduated in Medicine from the University of Melbourne in 1977. After finishing specialist training she completed a MD in Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Melbourne in 1991. In 1997 Professor Workman was appointed Professor of Geriatric Medicine at Monash University and she has been Director of the Monash Ageing Research Centre (MONARC) since its establishment in 1999. Professor Workman has been the Medical Director of Rehabilitation and Aged Care Services at Monash Health since 2001.
Dr Kevin Morris - Fellow MBCH.B FRACMA Dr Morris is a Medical Adviser to the Medical Council of New Zealand and Managing Director of Morris Consulting Limited. Prior to his current roles he had 20 years working for New Zealand's Accident Compensation Corporation as Corporate Medical Adviser and Director of Clinical Services.
Sergio Diez Alvarez - Candidate
Dr. Sergio Diez Alvarez is the candidate representative to the RACMA Board. He is a trainee based in Maitland, NSW. He the Director of Medicine with the HNELHD. His former role was the Director of Clinical Services for the Coffs Clinical Network. He is a senior lecturer at the University of Newcastle and has an interest in medical education and is passionate about the role of the generalist in the provision of care especially in regional and rural medicine provision.
Professor Jeffrey Braithwaite - Honorary Fellow (External) BA, DipLR and the Law, MIR (Hons I), MBA, PhD, FAIM, FCHSM, FFPHRCP, FAcSS Prof Braithwaite is a leading health services and systems researcher with an international reputation for his work investigating and contributing to systems improvement. He has extensive expertise in the culture and structure of acute settings, leadership, management and change in health sector organisations, quality and safety in healthcare, accreditation and surveying processes in international context and the restructuring of health services. He is well known for bringing management and leadership concepts and evidence into the clinical arena and he has published extensively (more than 300 refereed contributions, and 600 total publications) about organisational, social and team approaches to care which has raised the importance of these in Australia and internationally.
Dr Luis Prado - Fellow MBBS FRACMA FRACGP FCHSM FISQua FAAQHC FACHE FACMQ GradDipSpMed Dr Prado is Group Director of Medical Services, Epworth HealthCare in November 2016. Previously he was the Director of Medical Services at Wesley Hospital, Brisbane and the Chief Medical Officer for Uniting Care Health these positions he held from 2004. His previous positions include Manager of Junior Medical Staff at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Deputy Director of Medical Services at Greenslopes Private Hospital and Director of Clinical Training at both The Prince Charles Hospital and Greenslopes Private Hospital. He has also served as a medical officer with the Australian Regular Army, including deployments to the Western Sahara and Solomon Islands and commanded the 11th Medical Company at Gallipoli Barracks, Brisbane. Luis has been actively involved in leading medical education and clinical teaching programs, regularly teaching medical students at the Uniting Care Health Clinical School and as an Associate Professor for Bond University.
