Develop your leadership and medical management career


This program is specifically tailored with medical management and leadership modules to support the professional development of medical practitioners.  The workshops, online lectures and forums are designed to give medical practitioners fundamental knowledge and practical skills in medical management and leadership. These are the essentials skills that can effectively be incorporated into current working practice.  Sessions are aimed at enabling individuals to enhance their performance and build working confidence and competence in a safe and confidential setting.

Five study themes are explored in the context of medical leadership during 3 modules:
1 Understanding our healthcare system 
2 Clinical governance and medico-legal 
3 Medical workforce management and engagement 
4 Leading strategy and change 
5 Financial governance

Post nominal
Upon completion of this program you will be recognised with a course testamur. This testamur will enable you to apply for Associate Fellowship of RACMA.

Continuing Professional Development and CPD points
RACMA awards twenty-five (25) professional development (PD) points to participants who successfully complete this training program. These points can be credited to the RACMA Associate Fellow’s annual PD requirement.
Your facilitators
This program incorporates best practice and the expertise of leaders in medical fields which are supported by workshops facilitated by State and National speakers, expert medical educators and RACMA Fellows.  

Who should attend?
Ideally applicants will be in leadership roles, and/or be able to demonstrate significant leadership and management accomplishments, and have educational experience with career aspirations for leadership roles, such as Directors of Medical Services.

Eligibility criteria
Applicants must have:
• a minimum of three years direct patient care, and
• current medical registration in Australia, and
• be in good standing with your employer and other medical specialty colleges

Application fee $1,281.50 (including GST)
Module 1 (3 days)   $4,500.00 GST exclusive (includes 2 nights accommodation)
Module 2 (2 days)   $3,000.00 GST exclusive (includes 1 nights accommodation)
Module 3 (3 days)   $4,500.00 GST exclusive (includes 2 nights accommodation)
Award application fee $984.50 (including GST)
